Below are some of my customers comments about the machines they have purchased from me, restored for them, classes, etc.   I am very proud of my machines, and customer service.

Reference email id's available by request.

I don't quite remember how I happened on Country Rain's site, but I knew I came to something that would warm my heart when I saw it, like a friend's home.

I became enamored with the sock machine Donna featured, called the Grey Ghost, and decided right then and there that I needed to have him. I'm a beginner, but not new to needle arts, and I'm thrilled to be learning this new craft on an antique machine.

I'm also intrigued by the tools that came with the machine and the supplies offered; since sock-making has diversified over the centuries, it's a great help to have someone to guide you through the process.

Donna has been very supportive of my needs and contacted me before I did her to see how my work was going. I'd put my entire trust in this company if you're looking to purchase an antique sock machine.

Dear Donna,
Just a quick note to let you know how much I appreciated your class.
From class I  learned a lot of "tricks" which have made my sock making much easier.  You are gifted in your teaching with patience and understanding for the less knowledgeable. (and the slow learner, which is myself)  I never felt that you pushed or hurried any of my lesson.
I do hope we can get together again because I am sure you have more "tricks" to share with me.  Thanks again, Diane

Your companion CD made it possible for me to be "up and running" with my sock machine right away! Thank you for such a useful tool.

I was very happy with the class.  I just wish you lived closer.

I can’t thank Donna Peters enough for her expertise in restoring a Gearhart sock knitting machine for me.

Not only did she restore the machine beautifully but she gave me lessons on its use, starting with how to put it together.  She has a calm, supportive, teaching style that enabled me to begin knitting socks in a very short time.

People who had seen the machine in its black, dirty, grungy state wondered if the “patient” would ever run again.  It came back to me shiny clean and ready to knit.  '

She also supports her machines by giving us information on techniques, websites, list serves, and other related information in a “manual” when the machine arrived at my home.

I am lucky, Donna lives within an hour or so from me but I would travel much further for her expertise and support.  In our corner of the world she has revitalized machines long kept in garages and attics and brought an old craft into the 21st century.

My machine is working beautifully  -  so much better than it did when I first got it.  It's amazing to have it work so well!

I think you are one of the most talented people out there working on sock machines!  If I were looking for another I would buy from you  -  no hesitation.

These machines are a big investment of money and you want one in perfect working order.

I can't thank you enough for all your generosity.  You are exactly the kind of person I had hoped to come in contact with when I started on this adventure.  As a teacher myself, I know how important it is to master the basics before you start doing the complicated stuff, so I will follow your instructions to the letter.

How exciting that you are going to publish an e-book!  Next thing you know, you'll be traveling around on the teaching circuit!

I hope to some day be in Indiana and be able to come visit you, or perhaps make a convention.
