There are a couple
different tables or stands that can be used for the Sock Machines.
The main thing you want to keep in mind when selecting a table is to
ensure it is stable enough to support the machine. You can use
your kitchen table, just make sure that when you tighten down the
thumb screws to attach it you are not going to damage your table.
You will need to tighten the thumb screws so the machine does not
move.
I have also seen old
sewing machine cabinets used as stands.
Both of the tables/stands
below can be purchased at

First
is a stool, the stool will need to have a half moon cut out of
one end of the wood top to enable the machine to clamp more towards
the center of the stool. If you do not cut the half moon out
and clamp the machine to the stool you do run a risk of it
being top/side heavy and tipping over.
These stools do come in 3
different heights

Caution should be used if
you do clamp your machine to one of these tables, as they can
tip over very easy, even with the cut out. I do not recommend
them if you have pets, or kids. The workbench below is a much
better table for your machine. |

| This
is a small Workbench also sold at many of the home improvement
stores, they will fold up and can be transported very easy.
These workbenches are very sturdy and stable tables to use for your
sock machines. Look in the tool department where they have the
larger tools, drill presses etc is where I have been
able to find these tables at. They cost about $12- $24
depending on which model you get. Black and Decker has one
of these also here is a
